Learn more about Additional Support for Learning.
An additional support need comes from anything which is a barrier to learning. Most, or all, schools will have some children with additional support needs of some kind. The education authority has many legal duties towards pupils with additional support needs.
Information about this is contained in a booklet called In On The Act : Information For The General Public which is published on the education authority website at http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/inontheact or contact the additional support for learning team on telephone number 0131 469 3444.
All enquiries regarding ASL provision at Trinity can be sent to Mr Nelson, our Support for Learning Leader.

Uniform Policy - August 2021
We have a gender-neutral Uniform Policy at Trinity Academy. It is equal for all pupils and is compliant with the Equality Act 2010.
This Act sets out rights which include legal protection from discrimination to any of the nine protected characteristics: disability; race; sex (gender); pregnancy/maternity; religion/belief; sexual orientation; gender re-assignment; age; marriage/civil partnership.
This gender-neutral policy is inclusive of all gender diverse young people and we will take action to prevent any discrimination towards any of our pupils.

In response to the gradual return to the normal school day, all matters pertaining to uniform will be dealt with sensitively and by either a Pupil Support Leader of member of the Senior Leadership Team.
