And now…the end is near….

The last few days before term ends has been hectic, what with working hard to deliver an optimal curriculum for August 12th, to now hearing that we may well be back to a full timetable after all! Rest assured we have every eventuality covered, and will keep you fully informed as to progress and advice in the weeks before we are due to start.

You know, when we think back at the goals we set ourselves, who would have though five years later we would be clicking at the heels of The Royal High School to become one of the top 5 high attaining schools in Edinburgh? All of this is down to sheer hard graft and building a wonderful culture and ethos which has transformed the fortunes of our school. We are most fortunate to have outstanding teachers, admin staff, support staff and professional associations and unions who all play their part  in delivering the best we possibly can, and often in the most difficult of circumstances. My colleagues know what they are doing, we do things our way, and it works. Colleagues therefore deserve the full trust and support of everyone as they consistently strive to deliver the best possible outcomes for your children. In addition there has always been and I am sure there always will be an open door to any parent who has a concern or issue or indeed a suggestion to make. By continuing to work together, I am sure that the best is yet to come.

FINALLY, and now that the end is here (ha!), I should like to thank all for your support and also your good wishes on my retirement.  Much appreciated.  Now to book a holiday……….
